With the last 30 days of ramping up the post production work on the film, I’m happy to say that the 15 minute short has been edited to the point I’m satisfied with. Big thanks to all those involved in it, I’ve made sure to include ye in the credits 🙂 .
I won’t post the film online until it runs its course with the odd few film festivals that might take it. I do hope to have it screened soon so watch this space!

Latest on Dump, not much, still currently stuck in Post Production but I have managed to complete a number of milestones that is bringing the film much closer to completion. Personal deadline is the 16th February, initially this was the final submission deadline for the 2014 Fastnet Film Festival but they’ve extended to the 3rd of March which is pretty reassuring.
Here’s a photo of one our sets used for ‘Dump’, it’ll probably make a bit more sense once you see the film.

After a week of intense shooting, “Dump” has finally finished its principle photography! It stars Fabian Sweeney and Catherine Crowley, as usual in a GB film, playing characters who find themselves in unusual circumstances; in this case, it tells the tale of one mans quest to find his missing phone under a large pile of displaced furniture.
It was an absolute pleasure working with both Catherine and Fabian, I couldn’t be happier with their performance. Now it’s up to the post production part to finish the job. “Dump” should hopefully be fully finished before the end of this year.

… so it appears that way. Anyway, slowly and steadily Dump is being shot over the course of the summer and it won’t be another while until we find out what’s inside the box.

Looks like things have been pretty quiet on the site for the past while, ‘You Know the Words‘ is still in post production limbo but with Fastnet Film Festival’s Call For Entries starting soon I’m hoping to finish it just in time before the deadline closes.
‘Dump‘ is still in Pre-Production phase, I’m still working on the storyboards which is helping to flesh out a lot of details in the script. Here’s a quick screencap of how some of them are looking:
We’ve also re-recorded ‘Beast of Bath‘, we brought two actors Cathal O’Donovan and Sarah Maloney to record dialogue at a professional recording studio ( my living room ).
As opposed to making an animation, we’re naturally going to go with a diorama instead. Here’s some test footage we’ve prepped up for it.

We’ve just recently finished writing the first draft of ‘Dump’ and added Fabian Sweeney to the writing team. A considerable amount of time has been put into discussing and improving every aspect of the original script treatment in order to make it work, with Fabian’s input we’ve ended up being a lot closer to having a solid script!
In the meantime a lot still needs to be done, new equipment is being purchased, storyboards still need to be finished, many test shots need to be taken and we’ve have yet to finalise the cast but all in all it’s looking pretty good so far!
